We’re about 36 shooting days deep into this project and I’ve been thinking about how we haven’t necessarily introduced ourselves properly on this blog.
I’m going to try to explain what each of us does. If I do a poor enough job, it might actually get some of THE OTHERS to post something.
I’ll start with myself. I am RYAN MOULTON and I’m the DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY. That means I am in charge of everything visual. I decide the shots, storyboard, compose and light the scenes, operate the camera and help figure out blocking.
I also am the EDITOR. I’m using Final Cut to piece together our hours of footage into comfortable 20-ish minute episodes. I am also one of the WRITERS.
FILUP MOLINA is the DIRECTOR and HEAD WRITER. As director, he answers a billion questions about everything and guides the actors towards the best performance. As head writer, he guided the creation of the story and is in charge of bringing every episode’s script to a state of awesome hilarity.
RICKY KLOPFENSTEIN is the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, the BUSINESS MANGER, and a WRITER. He schedules shoots, makes sure everyone knows when they need to get there, makes sure the finance stuff is in order (We have a budget!), and does a bunch of other organization things.
JESSIE ERVOLINO is IN CHARGE OF PROPS. She finds ways to get the ridiculous things the writers decided they needed. I don’t know her actual job title. She has a lot of other responsibilities also.
Lately, LIZ ANDERSON has been in charge of WRANGLING EXTRAS. When we needed 15 very attractive girls for a few scenes, Liz went out and hunted them down. She is also a WRITER.
APRIL DUDASH is LOCATION MANAGER. She finds ways for us to shoot in awesome locations like Library West (Go check out some books!), Cafe Gardens Restaurant (Go eat food there! They are awesome!) and the Hippodrome State Theatre (The Great American Trailer Park Musical is extending its run until Aug. 2nd!).
AILEEN CACAYORIN seems to be in charge of COSTUME STUFF and making sure people are in the right stuff for different scenes.
There are also a LOT OF OTHER AWESOME PEOPLE behind the scenes holding things, moving things, and duct-taping things.
If I got anything wrong, feel free to talk to me about it.
You all need to post to the blog, I am not kidding.
